Mettā is a Pāli word that means lovingkindness, goodwill and friendliness. Mettā meditation can change our lives. As we make it a habit to radiate mettā often, not only in formal meditation but also in our everyday life, we find that we have less anger and more patience. Our speech and actions will be imbued by the wondrous qualities of love and kindness.

In this book, Visu Teoh, an experienced meditation teacher, offers simple instructions on how to cultivate mettā, both as a meditation and during everyday activities. In addition, he explains how we can make positive affirmations and inculcate attitudes that can enrich and ennoble our lives. These affirmations work on the same repetition principle as mettā meditation. As regards positive attitudes Visu stresses the importance to identify and purposefully developing them in our daily life.
